Alison Moore

Alison Moore utilizes a counseling approach which is client-centered and goal-oriented. By definition, this allows individuals to experience growth, positive outcomes, and fulfillment by actively participating in his or her own therapy in order to create change.

Alison has 35 years of experience as a therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery. She is a Lead Counselor with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and is often called for Critical Incident Diffusion. In addition, she is well versed in the medical field as she actively works as a health care proxy assisting those who cannot make medical decisions on their own.

Alison implements Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help her clients explore thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. Often, people lose hope when they think that things will never be different. They try and struggle and sometimes fail. Alison believes that everyone has the ability to think differently, relate differently, and transition from negative thinking to positive thinking which can result in a successful and fulfilling life. Together, Alison and her clients create techniques, strategies, and coping mechanisms in order to open the way for improved mood, enhance relationships, and provide relief to the struggles.
