Christine is the founder of Thin Line Counseling, a practice she established in 2021 with the goal of providing high-quality, culturally competent mental health care to first responders in the Tampa Bay area. As the wife of a combat-wounded U.S. Marine, Christine has a unique, personal understanding of the struggles faced by active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. This experience drives her dedication to offering the care this population has earned and deserves.
Christine is an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist and has completed the Clinician Awareness Program through the Florida Firefighter Safety & Health Collaborative and the Law Enforcement Culture for Clincians training sponsored through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. She also collaborates closely with the HCFR Peer Support Program. Christine is a Qualified Supervisor, providing supervision to Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns as they grow in their careers.
Christine is deeply dedicated to reducing barriers that prevent service members, veterans, first responders, and their families from seeking mental health care. She focuses on developing supportive programs for these communities while raising awareness and educating others about the mental health challenges they face. Additionally, she emphasizes the importance of training future clinicians to effectively work with this population and increasing access to culturally competent care for those in need.
Her experience includes developing specialized programs to treat service members, veterans, and first responders at inpatient facilities. She has collaborated with HCFR to create and implement the Clinician Orientation and Spouse Academy and has played a key role in vetting clinicians to assess their cultural competency. Christine also provides clinical oversight for the HCFR Peer Support Program and partners with universities to train future clinicians to work with military personnel, veterans, and first responders. Furthermore, she is preparing for an upcoming podcast and enhancing her social media presence to offer additional education, training, and resources for these communities.
